One way to describe anything you purchase for your baby or growing kid is 'short-lived'. This however, does not stop parents from splurging through and through. But then what does one do with all the things your children have outgrown? Also, on the other end, you will find parents who can't afford expensive, branded goods. Two seemingly different worries but with one very sustainable solution in Twice Treasured!
This Instagram marketplace started by moms, Divya, Vaibhavi and Tripti is bringing together new and old parents by giving pre-loved or used kids products a new lease of life. These mompreneurs identified a real problem and an untapped niche full of potential, you guessed it, through personal experience. Since Twice Treasured was discovered during lockdown, this initiative was a blessing both to parents looking to declutter and those looking to keep their kids occupied while being cooped at home.
Here's how they function. If you're interested to sell -- anything from toys, cradles, to strollers, books and baby carriers, all you have to do is email the brand. They will then reach out to you with a form that asks for product info, images and videos. Then someone from the team will do a routine check of the product via a short video call, checking for original pricing and the remarked prices. Your product then is simply listed on their Instagram handle with all info -- original date of purchase, prices, description, damages et al. Buying is fairly easy. Pick the product you wish to buy and request for additional information, if needed and Twice Treasured will connect you with the seller.
