Every once in a while we come across a food trend which goes so viral you start seeing it everywhere {much like bae’s face}. Salted caramel is one such trend which has made its way into the most unlikely of menus. We’re fans of the flavour and this one’s definitely here to stay {unlike bae?}.

We’re sharing some of our favourite sweet and salty moments with you.

Ice Cream At Whipped

Whipped has fast become a household name, courtesy its fabulous delivery service, and whereas we’re happy receiving boxfuls of cakes and pudding at our doorstep, we also occasionally like to visit the bakery, for its home-made ice cream. Chief among these is the salted caramel. Ask for the waffle cone and walk out a happy trooper.

PS: bhane also does  a pretty kickass salted caramel ice cream.

Price: Starting at INR 120 plus taxes

Dark Chocolate Cake At Miam

Bani Nanda {the baker behind Miam} has successfully introduced at least a section of Delhi’s folk to French patisserie. For the next time you’re searching for a birthday cake for someone nice, we recommend her signature dark chocolate and caramel cake. It’s the perfect amount of sweet, the perfect amount of salty and comes with a macaron on top.

PS: The salted caramel macarons are pretty good too.

Price: Starting at INR 1,500 for a one kg cake

Brownie Square At Caara Cafe

Housed in the British Council, the zebra-striped CAARA Cafe aims to serve healthy British and European dishes. We like going here for the BBQ pulled pork panini, the in-house coffee and lastly {but not least-ly}, the brownie square with salted caramel. It might be worth checking into the library and checking out a good book to read over the weekend {you have to be a member}.

Price: INR 110 plus taxes

Macarons At l’Opera

One of the main contenders responsible for popularising the macaron in Delhi, l’Opera does these so well. With perfectly crispy shells and soft creamy interiors, we’re loving these bite-sized biscuits, especially the zesty salty caramel.

PS: You could also check out The Artful Baker and Sugarama for macarons.

Price: Starting at INR 500 for a box of three pieces

Cake At Elma’s

Believe it or not, there’s more to Elma’s than red velvet {gasp!}. Next time you step in, also add the salted caramel cake to your order. Moist and sticky in equal parts, this cake exists to confuse and to please.
