You can even grab a quick brekkie from their breakfast menu and tuck into everything from omelettes to pancakes, or opt for their English Breakfast instead. Prices start as low as INR 50, so go ahead and stuff your face here without thinking twice about your student budget.
This SG Palya tea stall is a hot spot for college kids, corporate employees and regular neighbourhood folk, drawing in sizeable crowds before and after college hours for a piping hot glass of chai or filter coffee. Pair it with classic Kerala snacks like pazham pori {banana fritters} and you’ve got your midday snack break sorted. Malabar Cafe is always buzzing with patrons who religiously make a stop here every day. Winning for its old-school chai shop vibe and its minimalist set {there are only two small tables inside}, have yourself a hot cuppa and a snack for just INR 20. And give their Sulaimani Tea a try too.
Perhaps the fanciest one on the list, A Cafe From Amande is at the ground floor of the friendly neighbourhood mall, The Forum. Set up outdoors, this cafe does Continental and American cafe bites from garlic bread and quiche to burgers and panini sandwiches and yes, they serve hot and cold brews here too. Make sure to try some of the desserts here too. We recommend their orange cake. Also, keep a look out for their great combo deals. Prices start at INR 75.
Right opposite Forum Mall, this seesha lounge also doles out some of our favourite snackers like nachos, pizzas and shakes. With its hipster decor complete with umbrellas hanging from the ceiling come here for an easy vibe and plenty of comfort food that starts at INR 150. Give their sizzling brownie a try if you’re craving something sweet. If you’re down for some hookah, check out their deals on hookah-meal combos which include starters and coolers along with your choice of hookah.
From soups and salads to steaks and burgers, find the usual cafe fare at Melt. With plenty of vegetarian and non-vegetarian munchies and a whole list drinks like smoothies, juices, teas and coffees to wash it all down with.
