Winning For
It’s simple ambience and stellar Japanese food. A few dishes available here cannot be found in any other Japanese restaurant in Delhi {and they’re delicious}.
Old-Style Dining
It offers a basic fine-dine style setting {similar to old Delhi restaurants}; the kitchen is partially visible from the seating area and there is a fair use of Japanese design elements here too. The staff is warm and friendly, and the crowd is mostly corporates, expats and people who actually love authentic Japanese food.
Straight Outta Japan
So, the best thing about this place is that most of the meat used in their food is actually brought from Japan itself, and is offered at half the prices.
We started our meal with miso soup and were then served a portion of Tuna Tataki. While the miso soup was salty and savoury {the dashi was really good}, it was the brilliantly made tuna tataki that we loved.
We sampled many dishes from the menu, but it was the Una Don, which is Unagi {eel} with rice and teriyaki sauce glazing that really stood out. The eel was fresh, flavourful and somehow with each bite, we wanted more. This is a must try here!
Drinks are pretty simple {do not expect fancy stuff}, but whatever they offer is well mixed and pretty balanced.
So, We’re Thinking…
If you want Japanese food done right, this is the place. The service is quick, food is fresh and authentic recipes are used. All this together leaves no room for disappointment.
