Petite Pie Shop is an entrepreneurial venture by three sisters, one of which is Chef Vanshika, the star chef who has been cooking and baking since she could reach the stovetop and went on to pursue her formal training from Le Cordon Bleu, London. Before getting to the food, I need to appreciate the attention to detail of the space! It's small, quaint and ‘très français,’ with chequered tiles, pistachio green walls, antique light fixtures, and the French music in the background that helps set the mood. Inviting, elegant, and with a very laid-back vibe, it's totes Instagrammable too!
Coming to the food, find pizzas, tarts, quiches, croissant, soups and their speciality -- freshly baked sweet and savoury pies. Start with Lebanese Mountabel which is grilled sourdough bread with a thick garlicky spread; the flavours of the spread are perfectly balanced and with the sourdough bread, it makes for an awesome appetiser. The Wild Mushroom pie cooked with locally grown, earthy mushrooms was scrumptious that had a perfectly crunchy crust.
Looking for just desserts? Petite Pie Shop is incredible for that too, I got the Berry Crumble pie and Walnut Fudge Pie and honestly, it’s hard to choose which one was better! The berry crumble had an amazing burst of berries while the walnut fudge felt like a warm fudgy hug. A special shout out to their barista because the latte served was perfect. On cold days, order one of their three indulgent hot chocolates.
All in all, this bistro definitely feels like a slice of France right here in Worldmark, Gurgaon. Great to go to with friends, family or bae! I haven't seen Emily In Paris but I have a feeling that Emily would approve!
