You’re probably wondering, like us, why a bankrupt company would set up shop here, right? Ah well! We’re happy they’re here! Currently offering their summer stuff {for both men and women}, shorts and tees dominate the space. Topanga Canyon is inspired by a Bohemian adventures and we’re loving the 60s vibes in the multicolours. We’re loading up on stretchy shorts in colours ranging from baby pink to camouflage green. Plus embroidery and embellishments to add some quirk. Oh! There’s also the ever on-trend distressed denims. We are also thanking our lucky stars that they’ve got proper jeggings and not stretch trousers. We’ll also bag the tanks in florals to brighten up the wardrobe {in tangerine, teal and peach}. And all you petite ladies, these folks do a size zero. So no need to fret.
California Dreaming
The Left Coast is another collection channelling Southern California to the tee. Think turquoise and lime for the palette and graffiti and palm tree prints for vests and barely there tops. Plus they’ve brought back the Bermuda shorts. WIN! Looking for lounge wear that doesn’t look like sleep wear? They’ve got you covered with knit shorts in addition to Yoga pants and joggers. Although we’re heading into monsoon, Castaway is their summer collection which includes airy tops, bottoms and breezy dresses in ocean colours and Batik prints. We do love it, but the worn out look makes us hesitate when we reach the counter. The prices aren’t sky high, but they’re not dirt cheap either!
Beach Boys
Wet N Wild is the summer range, chaps, so you can count on sporting pink, coral and casual blues. Tie-dye and tropical prints make it easy on the eye. Light denim shirts, muscle tanks {presumably you’ve been working out?} and printed woven shorts are key silhouettes, and we’ve almost jealous. They even have Nocturnal Surf which is ideal for the sun-downers. Patterns are similar to the day clothes but a slight change of palette to dark blue, black, and white, makes it evening wear. But for some real fun, shop at the Tropic Thunder section if you dare. Going all out with the tropical theme of leafy patterns and colours {orange, purple, olive green}, you’ll match the ladies when they strut their beachy collection.
