What Makes It Awesome?

When it comes to Yautacha and dim sum, one seldom says no. Especially with there’s a separate menu for it. Part of the Art Of Dim Sum Platter, it features four different kinds of dim sum in the vegetarian and non-vegetarian section {think chicken and water chestnuts, truffle and edamame, and asparagus and corn rolls}, you can sample all of them, plus have a pot of Chinese tea or beer with it. And all for INR 1,488, plus tax.

We tried the Olive Crystal dumpling, a great vegetarian option that has Chinese chives, yam bean and tofu, but lacked body. Then came a cutesy pumpkin-shaped dim sum -- pumpkin duck puff, with duck meat, shiitake mushrooms, snow peas and pumpkin paste. All enclosed in a wheat and pumpkin paste skin that was baked to perfection. While the favourite in terms of flavour, in the presentation department, Crispy Prawn Dumpling won hands down. The shrimp was crispy and a generous portion of it was covered with a layer of noodles shaped in the form of a haystack. The exterior was crunchy and the prawns, juicy and soft -- perfect, albeit difficult to eat.

What Could Be Better?

It’s not really very filling if you share it as the non-vegetarian option gets you only four dim sum a piece {including one veggie one}. Maybe throw in a dessert or mains and it’d be that much more appealing.

What's My Pro Tip?

You might want to order a mains as well. Or the Truffle Pork Ribs.

Anything Else?

Don’t expect your usual dim sim, these are slightly edgy and experimental. And not all steamed. So say bye to your diet before gorging.
