What Makes It Awesome?

We have a gazillion chai and tea spots popping up in every street. From the quick stopovers like chai point to fine dine like infinite, Bangalore has grown to cater innovatively to its Tea lovers. Here is an absolutely unique spot for tea and one of its kind today in the city. While we are now accustomed to having various sorts of teas at Asian and Pan Asian restaurants, you could afford such teas with a twist without having to spend money at fancy dining out.

Meet Mr Frutea, making unique authentic Asian teas with a twist to meet the Indian palette. They use absolute Asian tropical fruits such as Dragon fruit, Passion fruit, Tangerine, Key limes, Mangoes and more. They are combining these fruits with teas such as the Taiwanese Si Ji Chun tea, Assam tea, greens teas, black teas, milk base teas and white teas.

The menu itself is proof enough that they are distinctive from the rest. They have categorised their teas as below:
- Infusion: Product of using one base with other ingredients with bases ranging from Citrus, Yogurt and Sparkling
- Quali Tea: South East Asian teas made from tropical and oriental tea infusions blended with local flavours
- Bubble Tea: Taiwanese tea base with submergence such as Tapioca pearls

We tried three teas -
-Four Season Frutea- Concoction tropical Asian fruits such as lemon, orange, strawberry, watermelon, apple and Kumquat, all drenched in Black tea.
-Shanghai Mango Cheese Tea- A thick rich cheesy foam on top of mango pulp.
-Coffee Tea Twist (my personal favourite)- A killer combo of coffee and tea, espresso infused with black tea with chewy Tapioca balls.

They are surely brining in the Asian flavours to local markets in an innovative manner. I would recommend this place for anyone who loves to try and explore new flavours. If you are restricted to your comfort zone and not willing to accept beverages outside of it, then this place is not for you.
