Slacklining is the coolest thing since sliced bread. It is tight rope walking that you see in circuses, sans the fear of imminent death. A fairly new sport, Slacklining as the name suggests is performed on a slackline that is a flat 15-30 foot cord that is tied between to immovable objects a foot or two off the ground.
The goal is to be able to balance yourself on the line, which is a surprisingly tricky task given how wobbly the line is. But what if balancing is too easy? Try walking. Nailed that too? How about jumping?! All that and more is in store for you at a beginner’s event held on December 3 by a group of slackliners right here in Chennai.
