This anti cafe in Adyar only seems to be getting cooler and cooler. Yes, we're talking about Backyard. In addition to offering an awesome recreational and co-working space, Backyard now has its own line of conceptualised stationery and home accessories. Called Backyard Concept Store, this initiative lets you buy eclectic products as you experience the space while working or attending a gig there.
Their Twenty-Twenty planners are our fave! Crafted with all sorts of fun ideas, these come with bucket lists, mood and habit trackers, doodle quotes, daily planner sheets, sticky notes, colouring pages, handwritten letter templates and more. There's a separate concept for each month and doodle illustrations too. How fun! Price for these is INR 990. Not just planners, Backyard Concept Store also offers themed-journals with a classic brown cover and black ink lettering for you to pen down your thoughts, doodle, brainstorm and more.
Like a little bit of mystery? There are Buy-it-to-know-it books too where you get to purchase second-hand books from diverse genres and authors, wrapped in brown paper and featuring handwritten hints to keep you guessing. Backyard Concept Store also offers board games that you can play at Backyard and buy them if you like them. You can find games like Fox and The Geese (originates from Northern Europe), Watermelon Chess and Pong Hau K'i from China and more priced at INR 500 here.
Spotted some pretty cushion covers at the space? You can buy those too. They even have something called Dice to Decide that, as the name suggests, are dices that can guide you on how to work out, what colour to wear, what resolution to take for the day (stress less, less screen time, stick to a budget and more written on each side) and more through the simple act of rolling a dice.
