Why's It Awesome?

Beach babies! If your insides are screaming to go to the beach for some me-time or a date or a walk with your best-friend but you don't want any trace of the city to be there, skip the Marina and Bessy Beaches and head to Injambakkam Beach instead!

On the East Coast Road (ECR), this underrated gem is the epitome of tranquility and natural beauty. You must visit this beach when you need a break and feel that a relaxing walk along the shore, a refreshing dip in the sea, or a moment of peace surrounded by the breathtaking horizon will fix you. And it will.

How To Reach?

The beach is located close to Sholinganallur and is approachable by both private and public transport. There are several bus routes passing through Injambakkam if you wish to take public transport, and approximately half an hour drive if you wish to take your car.

Best Time To Visit?

The beauty of Injambakkam beach lies in the clean and untouched beachfront. If you want to visit early in the morning or during nightfall, you’ll get some breathtaking views. The beach is well maintained, and clean. So if your planning a picnic we suggest making sure to dispose off all waste properly. Stay clear of the areas where the fishermen’s boats are docked if you have a sensitive nose. While the beach is generally safe, we do not recommend visiting post 5 PM, to remain cautious and possibly avoid trouble caused by intoxicated individuals.
